Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Stashkin Chrome extension, the stashkin.com website and the Stashkin API. It is written to be read, not skimmed; if anything in it is unclear, ask.

Exports are made in your browser

When you export a conversation, the extension builds the Word, PDF, Markdown, TXT, PNG or JSON file locally in your browser and saves it to your disk. The conversation is not sent to Stashkin to make an export.

What the extension reads

To read a conversation, the extension reads the ChatGPT web page you have open and calls ChatGPT's own conversation endpoints from inside your signed-in ChatGPT session, the same way the page itself does. That is how it gets the full conversation, including images.

Your ChatGPT session tokens and credentials stay in your browser. They are never sent to Stashkin.

Earlier extension versions may have stored favorites, notes, bookmarks or prompts in local extension storage. The current version does not read or upload that legacy data. It remains on the device until the extension is uninstalled.

Your account

To sign in, Stashkin stores your email address and name, your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google, and a hashed password if you sign in with email. This is used for login and to know which plan your account is on.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to Stashkin. Stashkin stores your Stripe customer identifier and the status of your subscription.

Server logs

The Stashkin API keeps request-level logs: the time, the endpoint, the response status and similar operational details. They contain no conversation text and are retained briefly for debugging and abuse prevention.

Cookies

stashkin.com sets a session cookie when you sign in. There are no advertising trackers on the site or in the extension.

Deleting your data

Email support@stashkin.com from the address on your account and ask for it to be deleted. Your account, session and billing record at Stashkin are removed; Stripe keeps the transaction records it is required to keep. Data stored in the extension on your device is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the change is described on this page. Questions go to support@stashkin.com.
